Resolved Question: How to Become a Veterinarian?

I'm a junior in high school right now, and my career goal is to become a veterinarian. My GPA is 4.085 right now. My dream college is Cornell University in Ithaca, NY because they have the top veterinary medicine college in the U.S. I would like some information before I begin the college application process. So my question is: How do you become a veterinarian? Do you have the graduate regular college first after 4 years and then get a degree to become a vet after another 4 years?
